The GE Complex, bound by the Woonasquatucket River, Atwells Avenue and the highway provides the conditions to engage with larger urban questions. This masterplan proposal was developed to restore the Riparian buffer, create view corridors and public spaces adjacent to the street to draw pedestrian traffic in, and to fill the needs of the local society. Several public charrettes played an integral role in understanding the various stakeholders and these learnings are reflected in the proposal. Care was taken to develop a rich waterfront experience for the pedestrian, cyclist, and resident.
