This proposal critically examines the idea of simple living. What does it mean to provide quality space and quality living within the affordable housing tenet? Can micro-housing and prefabrication provide the conditions to develop a passive house within a humble budget? The project simultaneously demanded replicability and a thoughtful approach towards zoning laws and the city of Providence. Could the unit work alone or as multiples of 2 or 20? Could the unit be adaptable enough to adjust to different sites, solar orientation and family sizes? Moreover, could the unit develop and grow with its inhabitants and the city?
